APPOINTMENT WITH ADVENTURE: A THIEF THERE WAS (TV)
Summary
One in this live dramatic anthology series of adventures set in various American and international locales. In this program, a jewel thief named Roger plans to rob the safe of a wealthy couple, the Mannings. Having convinced his unsuspecting fiancee, Cathy, to write a story about the estate in order to acquire detailed information about the house, Roger then has Cathy give him a tour of the home so that he can locate the safe. While on the tour, Roger spots a young woman whom he is told is the Mannings' daughter. Later, when he breaks into the estate, he bumps into her. She claims to have returned home to get jewelry for her mother, but does not know the combination of the safe. Roger opens it for her in exchange for her silence about his presence in the house. However, there is more to the mysterious young woman than Roger realizes. Includes commercials and promo.
