WISEGUY: NO ONE GETS OUT OF HERE ALIVE (TV)
Summary
One in this series of night-time serial police dramas about Federal Organized Crime Bureau undercover agent Vinnie Terranova, who exposes the nefarious activities of organized criminal operations throughout America. With the stories in this series developing over the course of several episodes, this episode continues as Vinnie works from the inside to try to bust boss Sonny Steelgrave's organized crime ring in Atlantic City. On the eve of his wedding day, Sonny kills rival Paul Patrice and then accuses Vinnie of betraying him. Sonny's henchman Aldo sees Agent Frank McPike and a squad of police cars heading for the country club to arrest Sonny -- so Aldo calls and warns his boss to get out. Sonny figures out that Vinnie must be a mole, but before acting on his impulse to kill Vinnie the boss takes off in a stolen car, with Vinnie in pursuit. McPike's men arrive at the country club too late. Out on the road, Vinnie finally catches up to Sonny at an old movie theater, which the pair do not realize is about to be locked up for the season. At the country club, McPike's men apprehend several of Steelgrave's associates and discover a videotape that could prove crucial in the trial. After beating each other badly, Vinnie and Sonny are bloody, bruised, and tired -- and stuck inside the theater. They begin drinking at a bar in the back and end up talking candidly and with raw emotion about their relationship and Vinnie's identity. McPike and the police finally locate the men, and Sonny surprises everyone with one last stunt. Commercials deleted.
