HAPPY DAYS: SHOTGUN WEDDING {PART 1 OF 2} {CROSSOVER EPISODE WITH LAVERNE & SHIRLEY} (TV)

Summary

One in the series of comedies about life in the 1950s.

In this episode, the Cunninghams and Fonzie head off on a camping weekend to Lake Pinewood. Richie says a heartfelt goodbye to girlfriend Lori Beth, telling her she can date while he's away. After arriving at the cabin, Fonz wants Richie to accompany him on a trip to meet two attractive farm girls, Helga and Inga. Fonz and Richie don a cow suit to sneak onto the farm, having heard rumors about the girls' gun-toting father, Vernon.

Once there, Fonz and Richie hide in the barn where they see the milkmaids and their dad. As they leave the farm, still in the cow suit, they get chased by a charging bull, as well as some bees. Amazingly, they are rescued by the vacationing Laverne and Shirley! The two gals try to fix Fonz's twisted ankle and Richie's bee-stung behind as hijinks ensue.

After feeling a bit better, Fonz and Richie head back to the farm, where they claim to be undercover FBI agents when Vernon discovers them in the barn. After Vernon is sent on a wild goose chase, Helga and Inga come to the barn and Helga performs a seductive dance. Soon, Helga and Fonz start canoodling in the haystacks, as do Richie and Inga. Then, Vernon catches them and trains his shotgun on the boys.

Vernon feels that Fonz and Richie now have to marry his daughters after they've been "spoiled." To get out of it, Fonz and Richie lie that they are engaged to Laverne and Shirley. Vernon gives Richie one hour to retrieve and return with Laverne and Shirley, keeping Fonzie as a hostage. Includes commercials.
