ODD COUPLE, THE: PASSWORD (TV
Summary
One in this comedy series about Oscar Madison and Felix Unger, two divorced men who share an apartment in New York City. In this episode, Felix and Oscar meet "Password" host Allen Ludden and his wife, actress Betty White, at a restaurant. As it happens, Oscar is Ludden's favorite sportswriter, and the game-show host asks him to appear on "Password." Oscar declines, but Felix -- whose long standing dream it is to appear on the game show -- insists that Oscar accept the invitation and take him along as his partner. Felix coaches Oscar in the rules of the game, and some comic complications ensue when Oscar informs Felix he has replaced him with his ditzy new girlfriend Mitzi. Partners once again, the two men arrive at the television studio only to learn they will be competing with seasoned "Password" pro Betty White. As taping begins, Oscar gets an anxiety attack, and Felix makes matters worse by offering Oscar some rather arcane "Password" clues. Commercials deleted.
