MOONLIGHTING: I AM CURIOUS ... MADDIE (TV)
Summary
One in this comedic private detective series about David Addison and Maddie Hayes of the Blue Moon Detective Agency. The opening sequence of this episode uses stock footage to display the country's and the network's anxiety while waiting for a new episode of this series. Then, scenes from a past episode are shown followed by a new episode. In this episode, Maddie returns home from working all night with David. Meanwhile, Sam, Maddie's current lover, is upset having awakened without Maddie by his side. Later, Sam informs David that he has asked Maddie to marry him, but she is confused over whom to chose: David or himself. Therefore, Sam asks David to tell Maddie whether or not he really loves her. In response, David confronts Maddie with his knowledge of the news of the proposal. After a loud argument, Maddie asks David to confess his feelings or forever hold his peace. David chooses to stay silent. This causes a change of mood throughout the offices of the Moonlighting Detective Agency: The workers are depressed, Miss Dipesto and Peter Viola ponder the strange dynamics of office relationships, and David comments on the intricacies of daytime television. Maddie decides to take some time to think about her life and wonders into the office late at night. There she discovers that David has wrecked his office out of despair. Miss Dipesto shows up to clean up the office and decides that Maddie needs to get wrecked. However, Miss Dipesto is the one who passes out at the bar. Meanwhile, Maddie has decided to say no to Sam's offer. However, when she returns home, she discovers David in her bed and a goodbye note from Sam. Maddie finds that not only must she decide whether or not she wants Sam, but whether or not she wants David once and for all. Commercials deleted.
