Summary

One in this series of dramas about the personal and professional dilemmas confronting a close-knit group of friends -- urban baby boomers in their thirties -- living in Philadelphia. Attempting to enjoy her Saturday night in spite of this rejection, Melissa ventures out to a bookstore, where she is approached by a man into leather and whips. But she is ushered away by from the man by Gary, whose evening did not turn out the way he had planned either. The two friends head to Melissa's home, where they rekindle their past romance, but the next day neither is pleased with what happened. Meanwhile, Hope and Michael plan to have a romantic evening together, but wind up having the worst night of their lives.
