YOUNG ONES, THE: BAMBI (TV)

Summary

One in this series of British comedies about the exploits of four sloppy collegians -- Neil, Vyvyan, Rik, and Mike. When the guys recognize the need to do chores, Neil dumps garbage onto the kitchen table. And in the meantime, Dr. Carlyle examines four amoeba that resemble humans. The laundry situation gets out of control when a sock escapes on its own, and a journey to the laundromat is a failure when they realize that washing machines require money. Next is a musical performance by Motorhead. The guys prepare to appear on a game show, "University Challenge," hosted by Bambi, and study up aboard a train. But Vyvyan loses his head, literally, and Mexican bandits hijack the train. During the game show, four lily-white snobs from Footlights College Oxbridge battle the unwashed ruffians -- until bombs explode and Dr. Carlyle intervenes with a killer pastry.
