FALL GUY, THE: HOLLYWOOD SHORTIES (TV)

Summary

One in this series of action/adventure programs about a movie stuntman who uses his skills to track down real-life criminals. In this program, a lost package endangers the lives of Colt and a group of midget stunt players. When Colt tries to apprehend a man at the airport, a batch of cocaine gets lost in the chase, ending up in a ventilation duct, unbeknownst to Colt. The drug dealers try to persuade two midget stunt players, Buddy and Lacy, to try and grab the package. When Lacy refuses she is kidnapped from a movie set; to rescue his friend, Colt pursues the thugs in a cop car that ultimately flips over. The drug dealers then ask Lacy's diminutive husband, Mickey, to try reaching the cocaine, using their full-grown daughter Kate as a messenger. After failing in his task, Mickey is reunited with Lacy and Buddy and he insists they are all going to die. Once Colt and Howie deduce the reason a small person is needed, Colt ventures to the airport with a midget named Sammy, who retrieves the cocaine from the air duct -- but the thugs apprehend them. Mickey grabs the package and escapes in a high-voltage car chase involving motorcyclists, a 4x4 truck, and a semi truck filled with feathers. The crooks agree to trade the cocaine for Lacy, but several snipers threaten to kill Kate, her parents, Colt, and his partner Jody -- but a hidden gang of midgets come to the rescue. The program concludes with a telecast of a basketball game with a team of midgets called the Hollywood Shorties. Includes scenes from the next episode of "The Fall Guy."
