FIBBER MCGEE AND MOLLY (RADIO)

Summary

One in this series of situation comedies with music. In this episode, Fibber McGee receives an 1880 quarter and, after looking in a book, he discovers it is worth $10. Upon arriving at home, he realizes he accidentally spent the quarter and must track it down with Molly's help. The King's Men Quartet sings "I Tipped My Hat and Slowly Rode Away" and The Billy Mills Orchestra performs "I Got a Girl in North and South Dakota." Includes commercials for Johnson's Wax Products.

(This series aired on NBC Blue in 1935 and moved to NBC Red in 1936; the series aired as five-minute sketches on "Stardust" on NBC from 1957 to 1959.)
