AMOS 'N ANDY: KINGFISH'S SISTER-IN-LAW (RADIO)
Summary
One in this comedy series about the misadventures of several friends living in Harlem, New York: Amos Jones, an honest, hard-working man blissfully married to Ruby; Andy Brown, a shiftless but good-natured fool; and George "Kingfish" Stevens, an enterprising schemer who often dupes Andy but cannot not outsmart his own sharp, strong-willed wife, Sapphire. All of these characters are portrayed by white actors speaking with outlandish, stereotypical "black" dialects. In this episode, Kingfish attempts to coerce bachelor Andy to marry his sister-in-law Flourescent, a corpulent, shoeless country spinster. When Andy vehemently resists coupling with his rotund relation, Kingfish decides to make Flourescent more alluring with a complete makeover at the beauty salon. Includes commercials and public service announcements.
