Summary
This special program celebrates baseball's centennial by featuring comments on the opening of the Baseball Hall of Fame, as well as a baseball game at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, New York, with reporter Tom Manning describing the events. Edwards of the American League; the mayor of Cooperstown; Manning says Walter Johnson is batting grounders; Tris Speaker; Ty Cobb talks about Cy Young; Cy Young (511 wins); Napoleon "Nap" Lajoie; Manning lists the line-up of the two teams; Bill Klem (umpire) and Eddie Collins.
