Summary

One in this comedy series starring Freeman Gosden and Charles Correll as Amos and Andy, two black friends in Harlem, New York. In this program, currently unemployed and not wanting to work, Andy and Kingfish open an employment agency. Their first customer is a valet named Rochester, who explains that he no longer wishes to work for his miserly boss. Andy and Kingfish assure Rochester that they will find him a new boss. Later, his employer, Jack Benny, decides to replace him. Benny hails Amos's cab and asks to be taken to an employment agency in Harlem. Amos immediately brings him to his friends' new business. Things go awry, however, when Kingfish and Andy tell Benny that they have just the valet for him, not knowing that Rochester is Benny's current employee. When they realize what they have done, Kingfish and Andy visit their lawyer and create a legal excuse to get out of their mess. At the end of the program, Shorty the Barber visits the employment agency looking for a shoe shine boy. Much to Kingfish's chagrin, Andy fills the position right away. Includes commercials.
