MORK & MINDY: LONG BEFORE WE MET ... (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedies about Mork, an alien sent from the planet Ork to study the behavior of earthlings. In this episode, Mearth is disappointed to hear that Grandma is going to babysit him when Mork and Mindy go to her tenth high school reunion. There, they immediately run into Dickie Nimitz, one of Mindy’s spurned suitors. They then see Mindy’s old boyfriend Steve Sanders, with whom Mindy resurrects a slew of old memories. Egged on by Dickie, Mork quickly becomes jealous of the handsome Steve. The next day, Mork is still angry, and his quarrel with Mindy upsets Mearth. Steve has flowers delivered to the house and Mork fears that Mindy will leave him for Steve. Later, Mork disguises himself as a Russian foreign exchange student and goes back in time to Mindy’s 1971 prom, which she attended with Steve. After Mork gets past door guard Dickie, Mork puts some romantic moves on Mindy and raises Steve’s ire in the process. Later, Steve and Mindy are named prom king and queen, but she chooses to dance with Mork due to Steve’s rude behavior. Thoroughly satisfied with the outcome of prom night, Mork returns to the present. Finally, Mindy comes home from work early to assure Mork that he’s the only one she loves. Commercials deleted.
