KING OF QUEENS, THE: TIME SHARE (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about parcel delivery man Doug Heffernan, who lives in Queens, New York, with his wife Carrie and his father-in-law Arthur.
In this episode, Arthur works on an overly revealing customer-complaint letter to an ointment company as Carrie and Doug are exasperated by a visit from their annoying neighbors, Tim and Dorothy Sacksky. The couple, wishing to confide in "the people closest to them," sadly reveal that they are splitting up, adding that they now must give away their time-share on a house in the Hamptons. The Heffernans quickly decline the offer, but Carrie has a change of heart when she visits the upscale beach house and pleads with the sun-and-surf-hating Doug to reconsider. He begrudgingly accepts the offer, and the plan quickly goes awry when both Tim and Dorothy become overly clingy with Doug and Carrie, feeling that they are now the best of pals.
Dorothy is distraught to hear that Tim is already dating someone new, and Carrie, still desperate to secure the key to the beach house, begs Richie to "flatter" Dorothy with some attention. The two end up having a one-night stand, and Carrie demands that Richie continue dating her for at least a few weeks. Tim then arrives to hang out with Doug's "peeps" and tearfully admits his heartbreak over Dorothy's new beau, having lied about his own love life to make her jealous and unaware that her new "boyfriend" is in fact Richie. Tim realizes that he wishes to reunite with Dorothy after all, and Carrie is crushed to realize that the beach house is no longer within her grasp. Later, Arthur receives an eye-opening letter from the ointment firm. Commercials deleted.
