SOUTH PARK: CARTMAN'S MOM IS STILL A DIRTY SLUT (TV)
Summary
One in this series of animated programs for adults about the town of South Park, which is populated by an oversexed school chef, a psychotic teacher, Jesus Christ, and a group of acerbic, foul-mouthed youngsters. In this episode, Cartman is seconds away from finally learning the identity of his father, but suddenly the lights go out and Dr. Mephesto is shot by an unknown assailant. Chef and the boys hurry to take him to the hospital, driving through the heavy snow, while everyone else attempts to discover the identity of the shooter. Stan frets that he dislikes hospital, but Cartman asserts his need to follow through and finally know his true paternity, just like he cannot bear listening to only part of a certain Styx song. At City Hall, the mayor asks the clueless Officer Barbrady about the crime, but he has no answers. Suddenly, the crew of “America’s Most Wanted” arrives and requests to do an episode on the shooting, complete with reenactment, and the mayor agrees. Elsewhere, Mrs. Cartman goes to “Unplanned Parenthood” and requests an abortion, explaining that the “fetus” in question is eight years old, and the baffled receptionist tells her that such a thing is illegal. She then “appeals to” a congressman, followed by a governor, in an attempt to get the law changed.
The auditions for the “America’s Most Wanted” reenactment get underway, and at the hospital, the severely overworked doctor attempts to help Mephesto, at Cartman’s frantic request, and eventually appoints Chef and the boys “honorary doctors” when the power goes out, knowing that the generator will soon fail. John Walsh introduces the episode of “Wanted” and the reenactment commences, with actor Eric Roberts going off-script, but the feed dies when the power goes out, and they realize that they are trapped at the school and immediately begin considering cannibalism, making Eric Roberts their first meal. Back at the hospital, a queasy Stan and the others assist the doctor with a surgery, and he soon explains that there is a backup generator, but it is perilously positioned far from the hospital and will require the brave efforts of a team, which consists of…Kenny. Kenny journeys out into the snow and finds the generator, and ends up sacrificing himself to turn the power back on for his friends. At the same time, Mrs. Cartman beds her way up to President Clinton, and he agrees to change the law, but she realizes she has been confusing “abortion” and “adoption.” Mephesto recovers and casually states that his brother makes frequent attempts on his life and shot him, and finally reveals that Cartman’s father is…Mrs. Cartman. He explains that she is in fact a hermaphrodite who impregnated someone else, and a frustrated Cartman demands to know who his real mother is before deciding to “forget it.” Commercials deleted.
