BECKER: EVERYBODY LOVES BECKER {PART 2 OF 2} {FOURTH SEASON FINALE} (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about a gruff neighborhood doctor working in the Bronx. Becker still refuses to believe that Reggie is attracted to him, believing that her confession the previous night was due to alcohol intoxication. Chris returns, but Becker doesn’t seem to pay her any mind. Linda feels that Margaret’s life is “dull” and invites her out on the town with her friend. Chris comes into Becker’s clinic after sustaining an injury during a game of racquetball with Bob. Becker manages to relocate her kneecap successfully, but is distressed that he felt attraction towards her, believing that it is behavior unbecoming of a doctor. Reggie reacts strongly to this but denies that she has feelings for Becker. Bob confesses that he likes Chris and decides to ask her out. That night, Becker has a nightmare about Chris, rendering him unable to sleep. Margaret sleeps off her night out with Linda; she drank heavily and behaved like a “wild woman.” Becker is frustrated that he can’t stop thinking about Chris, leaving Reggie and Bob frustrated as well. Chris visits Becker again, complaining of neck pains. He admits that he doesn’t want to treat her anymore, but doesn’t offer a substantive reason. She leaves, calling Becker an “ass.” However, Chris later visits Becker at his apartment, having figured out that he is attracted to her. She believes she reciprocates his attraction and asks him out on a date. Becker is put off by her constant cheerfulness and makes her talk about something she hates in order to “prove that [she’s] human.” She admits that she hates her mother, and conversely challenges Becker to name something he loves. Chris gets him to admit that he has feelings for her and they kiss before she leaves, allowing Becker time to respond to her gesture. Confused, Becker heads down to see Reggie, discussing his encounter with Chris. Reggie kisses him, adding to his confusion. Commercials deleted.
