CHEERS: THE BAR MANAGER, HIS SHRINK, HIS WIFE, AND HER LOVER {PART 2 OF 2} (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about a group of regulars at a Boston bar. Lilith leaves Frasier and Rebecca alone and goes to Cheers, with Frasier following close behind. She announces that she's left the Eco-pod and demands to know how long Frasier and Rebecca have been sleeping together. Sam and the others at the bar are just as shocked as she is at this development. Lilith is furious at Frasier until Sam points out that she hurt him badly by walking out of his life with another man. Lilith realizes that Sam is right, and says she had naively hoped that she could simply return and pick up her life where she left off. Sam suggests that she get some sleep at talk to Frasier in the morning, giving her some money for a hotel room. Suddenly Frasier bursts into the bar to try to talk to Lilith. She tells him she's willing to forget what she saw between Frasier and Rebecca and admits that she never loved Dr. Pascal. Frasier is unsure of whether to take her back, although Lilith is determined to get back together with Frasier. At this point Rebecca enters Cheers and takes Frasier into Sam's office to speak with him in private. Frasier is extremely bitter about what Lilith did to him. Rebecca says she wants to remain nothing more than friends with Frasier, and he understands. Frasier goes out to speak with Lilith, who is prepared to beg for him to take her back. However, he refuses to be her "safety net" anymore and is unwilling to take her back despite her determination. Suddenly Dr. Pascal enters the bar and implores Lilith to come back with him to the Eco-pod. He draws a gun and takes everyone in the bar hostage, claiming that he'll start shooting them if Lilith doesn't return with him. As time passes more people get drawn in and taken as further hostages, such as John from upstairs and Paul Krapence. Lilith notes that she could never be with Dr. Pascal due to his numerous mental problems. Finally Dr. Pascal gives Lilith ten minutes to decide before he starts shooting. He also reveals that he was the one who sent Frasier the message about Lilith wanting a divorce, hoping that he could use it to convince Lilith to stay in the Eco-pod with him. Frasier tries to talk Dr. Pascal down, saying he understands what he's going through and still experiences the pain of Lilith leaving him. However, he tells Dr. Pascal that he will get over it in time. Dr. Pascal, enraged, threatens to shoot Frasier first but Lilith comes between the two, saying he'll have to shoot her first. Dr. Pascal cannot bring himself to shoot Lilith and she takes the gun away from him. The police arrest Dr. Pascal, and despite his initial insistence to the contrary it seems that Frasier may be willing to take back Lilith after all. Commercials deleted.
