FRASIER: FRASIER'S IMAGINARY FRIEND {FIFTH SEASON PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
The fifth season premiere in this comedy series about Frasier Crane, a divorced psychiatrist who lives in Seattle and hosts a phone-in radio show.
In this episode, during his impromptu jaunt to Acapulco, Frasier meets and speedily romances supermodel-turned-zoology PhD candidate Kelly Easterbrook, who asks him to keep their fling a secret, as she is in the middle of a public breakup with a Seahawk. Once back in Seattle, Frasier's friends and family pester him for details about his unusually spontaneous trip; when he finally confides to Martin, Daphne and Niles that he is secretly dating a brilliant supermodel, they assume that he has invented tale due to insecurity about his dating life.
Frasier is frustrated when he is repeatedly unable to convince his family of his secret girlfriend's existence. Kelly soon announces that she is headed off on a two-month trip to the Galapagos Islands for her science courses. They spend the night together, and Frasier, determined to prove once and for all that she is real, attempts to sneak a photograph of Kelly as she sleeps. She catches him in the act and storms out in anger. However, she returns to the apartment just long enough to show a shocked Martin, Daphne, and Niles that Frasier was indeed dating a "supermodel zoologist," albeit one who now firmly dislikes him. Commercials deleted.
