DREW CAREY SHOW, THE: DREW'S REUNION (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedies starring stand-up comedian Drew Carey as a single guy who attempts to juggle his romantic endeavors and his menial job at a Cleveland department store, while still maintaining his sense of humor. Drew and his friends prepare to go to their high school reunion, each with their own agendas. Kate plans to try to woo Patrick Wells, a computer mogul whom she had a crush on when they were teenagers. Lewis poses as a chauffeur in order to trick Bo Derek into accompanying him to the reunion. She quickly catches on to his scheme, but agrees to stay anyway out of pity for him. Donald, the emcee for the reunion and Drew's classmate, makes fun of him in front of the assembled crowd. Drew, incensed, attempts to storm out but encounters Kelly Walker, a former cheerleader whom he had a crush on in high school, and she expresses interest in him, much to his delight. Oswald finds a woman who claims she had a crush on him in high school, but he doesn't recognize her and cannot remember her name. Patrick arrives as the party is nearly over, so Drew extends it by inviting everyone over to his house so that Kate can spend time with Patrick. Donald mocks Lewis until Bo claims that he is her "boyfriend" out of sympathy. Oswald is tied to a bed by his "crush" under the pretense of having sex, but she reveals her true motives: she is actually "Porky Parker," a woman who was fat in high school, getting revenge on Oswald for deceiving her into thinking that he would be her boyfriend. She leaves him naked and tied to the bed. Lewis tries to help him out, but Bo sees the two of them together and assumes that they're having sex, leaving the party with Lewis following close behind. Drew and Kelly grow closer together, but Drew has second thoughts about her when he learns that she lives with her ex-boyfriend, and that one of her children is mentally disturbed. Kate spends time with Patrick, and he tells her that he always had a crush on her and still does. Drew and Lewis lament over their situations together. Patrick plans to take Kate out for a late dinner and asks Drew for advice. Kate eavesdrops as Drew tells Patrick that he's been in love with Kate ever since they were teenagers, but never told her since he felt he wasn't good enough for her. Kate is so touched by this that she decides not to go out with Patrick, and instead slow-dances with Drew. Includes commercials.
