SEINFELD: THE FUSILLI JERRY (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series set in New York City in which comedian Jerry Seinfeld plays himself. Humorous situations in his personal life are interspersed with brief stand-up comedy routines.

In this episode, Jerry is mildly discomfited to learn that his mechanic David Puddy is now dating his ex, Elaine; meanwhile, Estelle, recently separated from Frank, informs George that she's getting an "eye job" to boost her chances in the dating world. At the DMV, Kramer erroneously receives vanity plates reading "ASSMAN," and Elaine is shocked when David performs Jerry's signature and ostensibly secret "move" on her. George begs Jerry to describe "the move," as his current girlfriend Nancy seems bored with him; Kramer, guessing that he might have received a proctologist's plates by accident, presents "the Fusilli Jerry," a likeness of his friend made out of corkscrew pasta. David denies stealing "the move," prompting an indignant Jerry to take his mechanic business elsewhere. While Nancy is unimpressed with George's failed attempts, Elaine is frustrated when David declares that Jerry "ruined" the enjoyable trick for him.

Kramer drives Estelle home after the eye job and accidentally gropes her after coming to an abrupt stop; when his new mechanic gives Jerry a pricey estimate for basic car repairs, he asks Elaine to get a better number from David, though she chooses an inopportune moment to do so. Estelle brags to Frank that Kramer made a pass at her, and Nancy is greatly impressed by George's significant improvement at "the move," though less so when she discovers his "crib notes." Jerry decides to forget the unpleasantness and returns to Davids garage upon hearing his much lower repairs estimate. Frank searches for the lecherous "assman" who stole his own unique move with Estelle. Ultimately, Frank accidentally falls on the Fusilli Jerry. When he is rushed to Dr. Howard Cooperman, procotologist, Kramer finally solves the mystery of the license plate mix-up. Commercials deleted.
