FAMILY FEUD {"SEPTEMBER" EPISODE} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of game/quiz programs, in which two families compete for cash and prizes by guessing audience responses to various questions posed in questionnaires distributed beforehand. In this program, the Trejo family, the returning champions, plays against the Tunstall family of New Orleans, Louisiana. Host Richard Dawson recites a tongue-tying poem about the political situation in the Middle East and then greets both families, and the Tunstalls present him with a key to the city of New Orleans, making him an honorary citizen, as well as a signed t-shirt from a girls' ice-skating team. Play gets underway and the Trejos eventually pull into the lead again, and the Tunstalls depart. While playing the fast round, contestant Cathy answers the question "in which month does a woman's pregnancy begin to show?" with "September," sending Dawson into a fit of laughter. Cathy eventually earns 92 points, and when her sister Angel takes her turn, Dawson struggles to compose himself while asking her questions. The family ends up with a total of 116 points, bringing their prize for the day to $580. Includes commercials.
