WHO'S THE BOSS?: RIDICULOUS LIAISONS {SEASON SEVEN PREMIERE} (TV)

Summary

One in this series of comedies about advertising executive Angela Bower and her live-in housekeeper -- former pro-baseball player Tony Micelli -- and their respective families. Angela and Tony are each going out with their respective dates, Peter and Kathleen. Although he tries to deny it, Tony feels awkward about the arrangement. Later they return, and Angela and Peter explain that Peter nearly choked to death at the restaurant, necessitating that he be saved by another patron performing the Heimlich maneuver. She indicates that she has become quite taken with Christopher, the man who saved Peter. She gets on the phone with him and asks him to accompany her to an awards dinner the following night. Soon Tony grows frustrated at everyone’s fascination with Christopher; Tony has yet to see him, and keeps missing him. He finds out that Angela has agreed to go with Christopher to Athens for the weekend, and Tony is highly distressed, growing ever more determined to meet Christopher. Even when he’s with Kathleen, Tony can’t stop thinking about the mysterious Christopher. Tony takes Kathleen out to a fancy restaurant where Angela and Christopher are on their date, and Tony tries to surreptitiously orient himself so that he can catch a glimpse of Christopher. However, his attempts are constantly stymied. Tony tries to corner Christopher in the men’s room, but just misses him, mistaking another patron for him and getting into an embarrassing misunderstanding. When he emerges, Kathleen demands to know what’s really going on, and Tony admits the truth. Kathleen believes Tony is still too attached to Angela and leaves. At home, Angela reveals that she knew Tony was there the entire time, but that she has decided to take Tony’s advice and decline Christopher’s offer to go to Athens, feeling as though she needs to get to know him better. Christopher is soon indicted on multiple fraud counts and sent to jail, although Tony still does not get a look at him. Includes commercials.
