Semifinals results for the second heat of the women's short track speed-skating 1,000-meter are reported: in first place is Annie Perreault (Canada), in second place is Ya Qiao (China), and in third place is Nathalie Lambert (Canada).

The women's short track speed-skating 1,000-meter final standings are announced, with Li Yan (China) in first place, Sylvie Daigle (Canada) in second place, and Monique Velzeboer (Holland) in third place.

McKay reports on the final results of the two-man bobsled event: the USSR's sled one takes the gold medal, East Germany's sled one takes silver, and East Germany's sled two wins the bronze.

McKay recaps the previous night's ladies' figure skating event. After the short program, Debi Thomas (USA) has the lead over Katarina Witt (East Germany).
