LEAVE IT TO BEAVER: BEAVER TAKES A DRIVE (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about the Cleaver family -- Ward and June and their two sons, Wally and Theodore, known as "the Beaver." In this episode, Ward and June are picked up by neighbors to attend a housewarming party, leaving Beaver and Wally alone. Before Wally sets off for the park to meet Eddie, Gilbert drops by, causing Wally to warn Beaver to stay out of trouble.
When Beaver and Gilbert pretend to drive the family car, Beaver accidentally releases the emergency break and the vehicle rolls out of the driveway, quickly creating a traffic jam. After Wally is unable to find Eddie, he walks back to the house and sees Beaver's dilemma. Wally then finds a spare key and puts the car back in the driveway -- but not before a policeman tickets him for being an unlicensed driver.
When Ward and June come home, Ward is taken aback by news of Wally's ticket. However, he agrees to accompany Wally and Beaver to traffic court. Later, as June explains Wally's situation to the confused Lumpy, the Cleaver men make their case to the traffic court judge. The judge ultimately lets Wally off with a warning, which Beaver, Wally, and Ward joyfully relate to June by day's end.
