TACO BELL: SHAQ TACO NECK {SHAQUILLE O'NEAL & JERRY
WEST} {ADWEEK: BEST SPOTS OF APRIL 1997}

Summary

In this commercial for Taco Bell, a reporter explains that NBA star Shaquille O'Neal is suffering from a rare neck disease caused by his craving for Taco Bell tacos. Apparently O'Neal allow his neck to slump to one side while eating the tacos and the condition is getting worse "with every neck-bending bite." But when O'Neal goes to the free-throw line during a practice session and makes every single shot, L.A. Lakers general manager Jerry West recognizes a good thing when he sees one. "Get some more of those tacos," he says to an assistant.
