ROLO CHOCOLATES: ELEPHANT {THE ONE SHOW: 1996
WINNERS REEL}
Summary
This Dutch commercial won the coveted Palme d'Or top prize at the 43rd annual Cannes International Advertising Festival in 1996. A little boy with a package of Rolo candies offers his last one to a baby elephant at the zoo. Suddenly he snatches the candy back, pops it in his mouth, and proceeds to taunt the poor animal. Moments later, the scene shifts to the future. The same boy, now grown up, attends a parade and gets swatted by an elephant, which of course, is the same one the boy taunted years before. Slogan (supered): "Think twice what you do with your last Rolo."
