MODERN FAMILY: FINDING FIZBO (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series, a "mockumentary" about the eccentric individuals comprising three inter-related families in Los Angeles. In this episode, police officer Louise, who is also a member of Cam's gay bowling team The Britney Spares, reveals that an unknown stranger dressed as Fizbo has been committing acts of mischief all around town, while elsewhere Phil prepares for his dad Frank's bachelor party, thrilled that he will finally be getting a (step)brother, Ray. Manny enlists Gloria, Claire, Alex and Haley to read through his newest play, though the "cast" soon notices that the four female characters bear an unflattering resemblance to the four of them. Mitch and Cam prepare to square off against their rivals, the Gay City Bowlers, but Cam panics when he spots the fake Fizbo again.
Fun-loving Ray quickly loses patience with Phil's G-rated bachelor party plans and decides to take Jay and Frank along to the casino without his new "brother," and as Haley encourages Alex not to be ashamed of her secret new boyfriend, Ben from work, Gloria notices some truth in Manny's text and demands to know why Claire can't openly express love for her. Cam guesses that one of his opponents, probably Martin or Señor Kaplan, who are now dating, are posing as Fizbo in order to psych him out during the game, but Mitch examines the clues and decudes that it's actually Louise, who finally admits that Cam "bugs her" with his domineering nature as team captain. Phil and Ray end up in a brotherly tussle over their conflicting party plans, but Frank privately assures Phil that his marriage will not harm their father-son relationship, especially as he is considering moving to California (to get away from Ray). Claire finally makes amends with Gloria, and Martin, still convinced that his long-ago "date" with Jay had potential, convinces a trophy-hungry Mitch to hand over his dad's phone number.
