JUSTICE LEAGUE: IN BLACKEST NIGHT {PART 1 OF 2} (TV)
Summary
One in this animated television series about a group of superheroes working to defend the world against colossal threats. In the first half of this two-part episode, robotic lawmen known as Manhunters are dispatched to Earth to track down Green Lantern, a.k.a. John Stewart, apparently a fugitive from justice. On Earth, John stops a would-be robber and catches up with an old schoolteacher, and in the Watchtower, Flash and Hawkgirl's casual flirtation is interrupted as the Manhunters "invade" the planet. Superman intervenes and tries to stop their capture of John, and everyone is surprised when he quietly goes along with the Manhunters.
John is whisked off to a distant planet, Ajuris 5, and Superman and Flash arrive at his trial just in time to hear John accused of genocide: pirate Kanjar-Ro testifies that, while attempting to stop him from committing some petty crime, John accidentally destroyed the neighboring planet of Ajuris 4, home to three billion innocents. Much to the Justice League's shock, John declines to defend himself, sadly acknowledging that he's guilty as changed. Continues on 128880. Commercials deleted.
