In this Christmas-themed installment, Jones introduces special guest Ella Fitzgerald, who sings "Good Morning Blues." Jones performs "I'll Be Home For Christmas," and the pair sings a duet of "Sunny." The Ace Trucking Company comedy troupe performs an unusual version of "The Night Before Christmas," and Fitzgerald sings "My Ship." Jones sings the folk song "Patches," and ballet dancers Rudolf Nureyev and Merle Park perform the pas de deux from Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker."
Jones sings "Mary's Little Boy Child," and the Ace Trucking Company does a skit in which a benevolent Santa Claus visits a destitute family, only to deem them "ingrates" when they are unimpressed with his gifts. The Treorchy Male Choir of Wales joins Fitzgerald for "Just a Closer Walk With Thee," followed by "Ezekiel Saw the Wheel." Jones then sings "In God We Trust." The choir performs "Silent Night" in Welsh, joined by Fitzgerald and Jones in English. Jones closes the program with a good-night song. Commercials deleted.
