EAST LOS HIGH: FROM WITCH TO BITCH {A.K.A. "FROM WITCH TO B . . . "} (TV)
Summary
One in this drama series about the lives of Latino teenagers at a fictional high school in East Lost Angeles.
Camila’s attempts to engage Jesus in conversation prove to be fruitless. Ceci tries to convince Vanessa to let her stay in the apartment, explaining that she is desperate for a place to stay. Vanessa refuses until she receives an eviction notice, forcing her to reconsider. Jesus and Camila pull up behind a music studio and he instructs her to go in and conduct a transaction on his behalf. She enters as a music video is being recorded and meets with her contact in the back as a van pulls up near Jesus’s position. She conducts the exchange as a nervous Jesus readies his handgun. Vanessa helps Ceci move in and expresses her disdain for her, giving her a very small bedroom and various restrictive house rules, including her cautioning Ceci to keep Isela quiet. Camila fraternizes with the dealers and inserts herself into the music video as Jesus receives a surreptitious drop-off; Camila claims that she is a music producer working for R&R. Jesus eventually enters and gets her to come back outside, scolding her for talking about him to the client.
At school, Jocelyn has a special guest, Daysi, arrives to speak to students about the nuances of gender identity. Ceci conducts rehearsals for her newly co-ed dance troupe, and Gina suddenly leaves halfway through after arguing with Eddie. Daysi suggests to Jocelyn that she have her uncle Andres, a lawyer, represent Nicolas at trial, and Jocelyn agrees to meet him. Gina finds Eddie later and apologizes for her behavior. He asks about her gonorrhea, and she informs him that she does not have it. He recounts his own experiences with sexually transmitted diseases, treating the subject humorously in order to calm her. Jesus and Camila report back to R&R, where Camila explains that she was trying to put their clients at ease, complaining that Jesus is too intimidating. They side with Jesus and caution her not to make any more mistakes. While there, Camila spends more time with Liliana.
Ceci intensifies her rehearsals and speaks to Gina in private about her tardiness, revealing that she too knows about her gonorrhea testing. She threatens to remove Gina from the team and orders her and Eddie to rehearse together that night. Daysi introduces Jocelyn to Andres, who discusses what he would do to get the charges against Nicolas dropped. He agrees to represent Nicolas for a reduced retainer fee. Vanessa records an installment of her video blog about HIV, although Isela keeps wandering into the recording and Ceci makes an impromptu appearance. Eddie and Gina meet for their one-on-one rehearsal and bond over their shared interests. Jocelyn and Daysi decide to sell the television Nicolas bought in order to pay his legal fees. Vanessa starts recording Ceci and Isela after their appearance in her video blog is warmly received by her subscribers. Ceci attempts to use this as a means of negotiating better living arrangements. At the next rehearsal, Ceci compliments Eddie and Gina on their significant improvements. Gina learns that Eddie is dating Tiffany. Jesus comes to suspect that Camila may be a narc, and he attempts to kidnap her.
