IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA: THE GANG SOLVES THE GAS CRISIS (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about friends who run Paddy's, an unsuccessful Irish bar in South Philadelphia. In this episode, Charlie, Mac, and Dennis come up with a new money-making scheme: buy a large quanity of gas and store it in the basement, then sell it when gas prices soar. Mac declares that he'll be "the brains" of the group, with Dennis providing "the looks" and Charlie serving as "the wild card." Later, Frank and Dee tell Dennis that Bruce must be stopped from giving Barbara's money to a Muslim temple. After Dee accidentally tells Dennis that she earlier planned to kill him, he refuses to be part of her plot against Bruce. At the bank, a loan officer turns down a $300,000 request from Mac, Charlie, and Dennis, despite their repeated attempts to seduce her. Elsewhere, Frank and Dee break into Bruce's apartment, intent on planting items which will make Bruce appear to be a terrorist. Dee brags that she'll later call the police and frame him. Meanwhile, Mac, Charlie, and Dennis set up a roadside stand to sell the barrel of gas which they siphoned out of their car. When a promotional gimmick goes awry, Mac gets badly burned. Dennis then decides that they should put the gas in Frank's van, drive to the suburbs, and sell it door-to-door. That plan also backfires when the first potential customer calls the cops. Back at Paddy's, Frank waterboards Dee to make her admit that she previously planned to kill him as well as Dennis. Upon witnessing the torture, Mac, Dennis, and Charlie are inspired to kidnap and waterboard Bruce, getting a confession about his "terrorist leanings." En route to Bruce's apartment, Charlie admits that his "wild card" role inspired him to cut the van's brakes. The group is forced to jump from the vehicle before it explodes in a fireball -- right outside their target's apartment. When the curious occupant comes out to look at the blaze, Dee realizes that it wasn't Bruce's apartment after all. Commercials deleted.
