DREW CAREY SHOW, THE: DOG AND PONY SHOW (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedies starring Drew Carey as a single guy who attempts to juggle his romantic endeavors and his menial job at a Cleveland department store, while still maintaining his sense of humor. In this episode, Mr. Wick is supposed to care for Mrs. Louder's dreadlocked, prize-winning Hungarian Puli, but he passes the chore on to Kate, who brings the animal to Drew's house. Thinking the dog is a stray, Drew has the pooch's precious dreadlocks snipped off -- as well as something else. Aghast to find their employer's dog is bald and neutered, Kate fears that they will all be fired, and no one can afford an identical breed of dog, which would cost five thousand dollars. Drew concludes that, in order to raise the money, they must become strippers like the guys in the movie, "The Full Monty." Their plan appears to be successful when a local bar fills up with women who are ready to throw money. As the show begins, police officers intervene and announce that, due to zoning regulations, stripping is illegal at the bar. Drew and his fellow strippers take their gripe before the city council and demonstrate their striptease. Includes cameos by Mark Addy, Steve Huison, Paul Barber, and Hugo Speer from the movie, "The Full Monty." Includes commercials and promos. This program is closed-captioned.
