CAROL BURNETT & COMPANY {PENNY MARSHALL} (TV)
Summary
One in this four-week summer series of comedy/variety programs starring Carol Burnett. This program features guest Penny Marshall, who joins Burnett in her opening question and answer period which develops into a good-natured fight between the two comediennes. In the program's first skit, Burnett and Tim Conway play the aging protagonists in "Rocko 37," a spoof on the many sequels to the original "Rocky" movie. Next, Carol plays the perfect stewardess assigned to work with Marshall, an inept neophyte. Burnett then plays a farmer's wife who sings a sexy song to her husband as he comes home from the fields. Vicki Lawrence, Burnett, and Marshall open the second half of the program as three little girls singing about the joys of watching scary movies. A series of takeoffs follow with Kenneth Mars, Marshall, and Conway in "Beyond The Omen," Craig Richard Nelson and Burnett in "The Comedyville Horror," and Lawrence, Marshall, and Burnett as groupies of Nelson, who plays a sexy Dracula. Includes commercials and promos. Commercials include Ed McMahon for Ford automobiles, Sandy Duncan for Wheat Thins crackers, and Joe Garagiola for Dodge automobiles.
