WHAT'S MY LINE? {MYSTERY GUEST: LAUREN BACALL} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of panel game shows in which celebrity panelists engage in witty banter as they try to guess the unusual occupations of the guests. On this program, host John Daly presides over a panel which consists of journalist Dorothy Kilgallen, entertainer Steve Allen, actress Arlene Francis, and publisher Bennett Cerf. Employing only yes-or-no questions, they try to discover the vocations of Carin Clareus, a woman from Jackson Heights, New York, who makes false teeth, and Logan A. Gallagher, the manager of an "all-girls" baseball team in Maryland. After donning blindfolds, the panelists then attempt to guess the identity of this week's mystery guest -- movie star Lauren Bacall. Finally, the panelists question Howard Harris, a television gag writer for Jackie Gleason who lives in Los Angeles. Includes commercials.
