WHEEL OF FORTUNE: NBC'S ALL-STAR DREAM MACHINE CHAMPIONSHIP (TV)
Summary
One in this series of daytime game shows in which three contestants take turns spinning a large wheel marked with money denominations for a chance to guess the letters of a mystery word or phrase. After a contestant solves the puzzle, his or her winnings are used to purchase prizes displayed in a themed showroom. In this program, which kicks off a week of special championship rounds, the three contestants are chosen from a pool of the series' nine highest winners. Host Chuck Woolery asks contestants Richard, Patty, and Rick to attempt to decipher terms from the "Title" and "Person" categories. The winning contestants select various prizes including home furnishings, sports equipment, electronics, and a trip to Palm Springs. It is explained that the winner of this semi-final round will return later in the week to compete in the grand championship. Includes commercials and promos.
