CEILING UNLIMITED (RADIO)

Summary

One in this series of informative patriotic dramas about aviation featuring Orson Welles and sponsored by the makers of Lockheed and Vega aircraft. In this episode, the Devil (Welles) holds a conference in Hell attended by four men who once tried to rule the world - Napoleon, Philip II of Spain, Louis XIV of France, and the Kaiser. The Devil tells them that Hitler's chances of achieving the same goal are better than theirs because he has a greater weapon, the airplane. But the Devil is disheartened to hear that his imps cannot tempt American war workers building airplanes to work less diligently. In closing, Welles reminds listeners that they must always be prepared to defend democracy from madmen bent on world domination.
