THIS IS MY BEST: SNOW WHITE (RADIO)

Summary

One in this series of drama programs. In this show, Orson Welles narrates the classic fairy tale about Snow White (Jane Powell), the beautiful princess who suffers at the hands of her evil, jealous stepmother, goes to live in the forest with the Seven Dwarfs, and is awakened from a deathlike sleep by a kiss from Prince Charming. Adapted from Walt Disney's movie "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," this program features songs from that movie, including "I'm Wishing," "One Love," "With a Smile and a Song," "Heigh-Ho," "Someday My Prince Will Come," and "Whistle While You Work." After the drama, Welles explains why this version differs slightly in its ending from that of the Brothers Grimm. He then describes the following week's show. Includes commercials for Cresta Blanca wine, and a public service announcement recruiting for the Women's Army Corps (WACs).
