WHEEL OF FORTUNE {RETURNING CHAMP'S VICTORY} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of daytime game shows in which three contestants take turns spinning a large wheel marked with money denominations for a chance to guess the letters of a mystery word or phrase. After a contestant solves the puzzle, his or her winnings are used to purchase prizes displayed in a themed showroom. Chuck and Susan begin by introducing the contestants: Elliot, Kathi, and the returning champion Lee. The first puzzle is a title, which is solved by Lee: “Mister Sandman.” With her winnings she selects a prize: a coffee grinder. The second puzzle is a place, which is also solved by Lee: “Candlestick Park.” She uses her winnings to select several more prizes. The final puzzle is a person, solved by Elliot: “Lily Tomlin.” He selects several prizes of his own. Lee emerges as the days’ winner, with a three-day total well over $10,000. Commercials deleted.
