Summary
One in this series of lighthearted dramas that follows the adventures of con man Harry Lime, based on the film "The Third Man." Orson Welles, in character as Harry, introduces the program. In this episode, Harry is hired as a promoter for Melody Johnson, an American beauty queen. On a boat to Egypt, Melody admits that her purpose in going to Cairo is not to compete in a beauty contest but to smuggle a stolen pearl necklace. Melody is being pursued by an international jewel thief, who makes a deal with Harry to get the necklace from Melody. Commercials deleted. (This series was produced and syndicated by the BBC in the 1950s.)
