One of the best loved and most celebrated opera and concert singers of our time, soprano Renée Fleming is renowned for the sheer beauty of her voice along with her consummate artistry and captivating stage presence. In addition to her peerless portrayals of such roles as the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro, Desdemona in Otello, Tatyana in Eugene Onegin, and the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier, she has been a champion of new works—originating the role of Blanche DuBois in André Previn’s 1998 opera A Streetcar Named Desire—and of bringing opera to a wider audience via the Metropolitan Opera’s Live in HD series, of which she is a frequent host and star. In a one-on-one conversation with Paley Center president Pat Mitchell, the four-time Grammy Award–winning singer will reflect on her career and the role of media in the arts.

She's Making Media presents conversations with Pat Mitchell for an upcoming season of At the Paley Center TV series, which is underwritten by The Rosalind P. Walter Foundation.
